Job Title: Warehouse/Yard Assistant
Location: Wokingham
Number of Positions: 2
Anderson Roofing Supplies Ltd, a prominent name in the roofing supply industry, is currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Warehouse/Yard Assistant. This role is based in our bustling warehouse and yard in Wokingham and will place you at the forefront of our operations, interacting directly with our valued customers. The chosen candidate will benefit from a competitive salary package and attractive benefits.
The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, dealing extensively with stock handling and order preparation. Given the nature of our products - an assortment of roofing and construction-related materials - the role is physically demanding and will occasionally involve heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles manually or utilising a forklift truck.
Sorting and grading stock for optimal organisation.
Transferring supplies to designated storage areas.
Picking and packing orders meticulously, ensuring accuracy.
Interacting with customers, providing excellent service, and resolving enquiries.
Required Skills:
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency in English and Maths.
Prior experience with a Counter Balance Fork Lift Truck is advantageous but not essential.
Please note, our typical operating hours are from 6:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 7.30am to 11am on Saturdays. The role is based in a rural location without public transport links.
