At Anderson Roofing Supplies, we believe that supporting mental health is just as important as supplying top-quality materials. The roofing and construction industries are full of hardworking individuals — but behind the scenes, many are silently struggling with mental health challenges.
That’s why we are proud to be raising awareness for Andy’s Man Club, a UK-wide men’s mental health charity working to break the stigma and offer vital support.
Why Mental Health Matters in Construction
Construction and roofing are demanding industries — physically and mentally. According to recent studies, the construction sector has one of the highest suicide rates in the UK, and many men still feel there’s a barrier when it comes to opening up. The message is clear: it’s okay to talk.
Andy’s Man Club provides a free, confidential space for men to come together and talk, offering peer-to-peer support without judgement. No referrals. No pressure. Just a safe space to listen, share, and heal.
Local Support Near Our Depots
We’re pleased to share that Andy’s Man Club now has two local groups close to both our Wokingham and Camberley branches:
- Bracknell Easthampstead – The Rowans Centre, RG12 7JZ
- Bracknell Great Hollands – Great Hollands Community Centre, RG12 8UX
- Camberley – Camberley Rugby Club, GU15 2SR
Sessions run every Monday evening (excluding bank holidays) — doors open at 7:00 PM.
To help spread awareness, we’ve placed leaflets, posters, and information cards at both of our depots for anyone who might need it — for themselves or for someone they know.
Our Commitment at Anderson Roofing Supplies
We’re not just about supplying roofing materials — we’re about supporting the people who build our communities. If sharing a poster, a card, or simply starting a conversation can help even one person, it’s worth it. If you’re struggling, or know someone who is, take that first step. You’re not alone — and it’s okay to talk.
